Overview
Film history, urban storytelling and an atmospheric winter salon at Kino Kamera.
The winter salon at Kino Kamera brought together student research, historical newsreels, films about Heidelberg and conversations about the city’s cinematic memory. Demand became so strong that additional chairs had to be placed in the cinema for the second part of the programme. The day ended with ‘Heidelberger Romanze’, mulled wine, biscuits, new members and clear momentum for the series.
Retrospective
Key impressions, themes and atmosphere from this evening.
Salon 6 combined film history, urban development and association atmosphere in a particularly convincing way. During the day it became clear how strong the public response to this theme can be: the second film block was overcrowded, extra chairs had to be added and many guests stayed on for conversations into the evening.
Organisationally, the day also sent an important signal: the association gained new members, distributed additional material and began discussing a follow-up around the topic of cinema and city in places such as Emmertsgrund. That combination of programme, audience contact and future impulse makes this salon especially valuable for the website.
